I totally had butterflies in my stomach and was full of angst and couldn't sleep all night. I was so nervous for the first day of school, my daughter however appeared to be totally uneffected that she was going to be leaving her mommy alone with the boys for 6 hrs and 45 min to go to school all by herself for the first time. Tyler gave her a father's blessing this morning and when he got done she turned around and said "Dad are you crying?" to which he quickly rubbed his face and said "No, Rylee, it's just really hot in here". He blessed her that even though mommy and daddy couldn't always be with her, Heavenly Father could and he would bless her and protect her. I was almost crying at the end. These are just some of the 43 pictures dad took of Rylee's first day at school. He said she was the cutest one there by far and I think he is going to pop from being so proud of his lil' girl. Oh that every girl in the world could have a dad like Ty:)

First Day of School! First Day of School! (We can't stop quoting that)

Rigden had to take his backpack too. I asked Tyler if he was gonna cry when Rigden went to school and he said heck no, I can't wait for him to go to school. So far Rigden has done really good today without his Rylee. It is kinda fun to give him a little more attention, maybe this is gonna be a good thing, maybe this will fix him:)

Everybody walk the Dinosaur

Cutest friends, cutest choreography, and cutest costumes. Seriously they were cute!! We decided to have Rylee try out for company dance and she made it so be prepared for more costumes and perfomances. Her first one is in September atthe Diamond Backs game. I love my little girl, not so little, she starts Kindergarten tomorrow and she's not even scared, only excited.

He's finally getting married!!!

My little brother asked Brennley Thomas of the lovely Holbrook, AZ to be his lovely blissful wife for all eternity this Saturday. He asked us for tons of ideas but in the end he totally came up with this cute game plan on his own. He had my mom and Laura make a heart puzzle and cute clues that they put all over Joe City and Holbrook that were important places in their lil' courtship. All the clues led to the Holbrook auditorium (her mom is in charge of it) where she found the last piece of the puzzle and a note saying, "now that you have my heart and have taken a walk down memory lane please enter the next stage of your life". She then entered the auditorium to Uncle Cracker's new song "smile" and a spotlight that brought her down to the stage where Eric walked across and kissed her while in the background "Will you marry me" appeared on the screen. It didn't appear right away so he just kept kissing her for a long time, then it finally appeared and he got down on one knee. When he scooped her up in a hug their family and friends all came out of the darkened audience clapping and cheering. It was way cute and way cute that Eric planned it all out. Her ring is gorgeous, they are gorgeous together, they have a gorgeous little toyota corolla, and they are getting married January 15. This all happened pretty fast. When I left for camping he was dating another girl. When I came back he had broke it off with her, bought a new car, and confessed his love to Brennley and decided she was the one. He said it was like a tornado in his head and then he saw her and it all calmed down, he told her he didn't know how anything was gonna work out but he knew he loved her, and that he was pretty sure he had been in love with her for a while. Tuesday night he picked out and bought a ring (with a little assistance from Tyler), Thursday he asked her dad if he could marry his daughter (to which he said, "Brennley is happy, we're happy, and we would be honored to have you marry Brennley", cute:)), and Saturday he proposed. He is now way in debt, deeply in love, and annoyingly happy. It was really a fun day and definitely worth the drive up, thanks for sharing the big moment with us Uncle Eric and Aunt Brennely!

Gavin stood up to Riggs this year and it was pretty funny:)

Lot Smith, the Uhrich's ancestor is buried at Homolovi

We tired the kids out so much, Rigden fell asleep sitting up

My mom's grandkid weeks are so fun. I love love love that she has em. This year was short because Kym and I didn't know our kiddos were starting school so soon. But we did get to do our traditional swim, picnic, and library day. We also went to Homolovi, pizza and the arcade, the local beauty college, and had some awesome crafts at the house (my mom let the kids paint again, only Gramma Lynn is willing to do that:)). I love being around my mom and so do my kids and I love love love my sistas. They are really really great. I miss bein around em all the time.
